Penny Machinations - The Fringe Festival

Top of the morning/afternoon/evening to you sirs n
madams,

Yessiree Shirley, it is indeed that time of year again
– Fringe. When there are so many shows on it makes
your head spin and all you can do to get through it is
to drink copious amounts of liquor and learn to
survive without sleep…

Well have we got the modern-day antidote to all your
woes and wearies, have we got the elixir that will
cure your cultural fatigue and the concoction that
will put the pep back into your step!

Unfurl the flags, ring the bells and break out your
piggybank – Penny Machinations is rolling back into
town. With twice the number of nights as last year,
twice the number of pieces and twice the stress
wrinkles on our face, we are proud as punch (one of
those special punches with a little added kick) to
bring back the performance arcade that makes our toes
tingle and our smiles widen by inches.

Please find the details below, but in short:
Every Friday and Saturday of the Fringe (beginning Fri
29th Sep and finishing Sat 14th Oct), between 8pm and
10pm on the stage of the Festival Club – North
Melbourne Town Hall. Each ticket costs $2 and allows
you to glimpse one of our brand-spanking new pieces,
or one of our cherished old favourites, performed
up-close and personal by some of Melbourne’s best
performers. Come whenever you like (although earlier
is better), buy as many tickets as you like, pick the
pieces you want to see and away we go!

Our beautiful crew of performers for 2006 include:
Bron Batten, Vanessa Bennett, Belle Bortoni, Richard
Higgins, Angus Grant, Margie Locke, Sharni Page, Michael Parry, Wes Snelling and Alia Vryens.

It’s like a delicious smorgasboard of fun fun fun!

entertaining experience.”
